| In October 2008, three OCC Engineers completed 75 hours of intensive training in surface air supplied diving operations. The course was taught by staff of Florida Keys Community College in Key West, Florida. FKCC trains the United States Army Corps of Engineers Divers, NOAA divers, and various state DOT underwater bridge inspectors. The course consisted of both classroom and field instruction in which OCC staff completed dives in a pool, FKCC's training lagoon, and an actual underwater inspection of a steel sheet pile bulkhead off-site. |
