| Coastal GeoTools 2009 | < Back | | Stephen A. Famularo, P.E. and Jordon P. Cheifet, P.E. attended the 6th Coastal GeoTools Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Coastal GeoTools conference is held every two years, and focuses on geospatial data, tools, technology, and information for coastal resource management professionals. The conference's goals are to provide a forum to learn about emerging tools and techniques, and their benefits and applicability.
OCC was able to use this conference to learn about the resources that are available, including training, data, and technology and to learn of the most current practices in the areas of geospatial data access, interoperability standards, and application development.
Mr. Famularo also gave a presentation entitled "GIS MANAGEMENT OF NEW YORK CITY’S WATERFRONT INFRASTRUCTURE". This was related to the ongoing work with the New York City Economic Development Corporation and the development of the Waterfront Facilities Mapping and Management System. |
